Why I started this blog

4+ GENERATIONS OF CLIFFORD ROY WILMOT

About a year ago I decided I needed a hobby and thought I'd try genealogy. I set a goal to get each of my family lines off of North America. At the time, I did not realize how addicting this would be... there are nights when I lose sleep over wondering if I will ever find what I am looking for.

Recently my mom and I made a trip to Kingston, Ontario, Canada since that's where her paternal grandfather, CLIFFORD ROY WILMOT was born. All of the 14 people that would be counted as his parents, grandparents and great-grandparents lived in that area for about 100 years. In fact, all eight of his great-grandparents as well as one of his grandfathers are buried in a little country cemetery, the MILTON Cemetery along the beautiful St. Lawrence River, His other grandfather and two grandmothers are buried in the CATARAQUI Cemetery in Kingston City.

My hope for this blog is to find other descendants of these people and share what I've learned with them.
